This page provides the essentials you need to apply for admission to WCC. For details on the complete rules on admissions, refer to the Board of Trustees Admissions Policy.

Who can apply?

You can apply if you would benefit from the College's classes, and:
  • You are at least 18 years old or
  • You are under 18 years old but have a high school diploma or GED certificate or
  • You are under 18 years old, still in High School, and are at least 15 years of age and in the 10th grade.
Non-Credit Classes: You do not need to apply for admission to take a non-credit class. Visit the LifeLong Learning website.

How do I apply?

To apply, just follow these steps:
  1. Submit an online application for admission. It's free.
  2. Wait until WCC notifies you (usually within two business days), then go through Orientation.
  3. Log in to MyWCC to view and complete any remaining items on your "Applicant Checklist".
  4. Take a Placement Test, if you have not.
  5. See if any additional admission requirements apply to you and, if so, complete them.

When Should I Apply?

You should submit your online application for admission by the following deadlines so that you can get the best selection of classes through early registration.
  • New Students and Former WCC students
    Recommended Application Deadlines for Spring/Summer 2010
    • April 22 for start-of-semester classes
    • May 6 for 2nd 10-week classes
    • May 27 for 2nd 7 1/2-week classes
  • Note for former WCC students: If your last semester was before Spring/Summer 2008, you must submit a new online application for admission.
  • International (F1 Visa) Students
    Final Deadline for Spring/Summer 2010
    • March 15, 2010 - all requirements must be met. (Required Deadline)
Additional Admission Requirements

Certain categories of applicants must complete requirements in addition to submitting an online application for admission. Visit the admissions requirements web page for details.
